Vipers SC missed a chance of returning to the top of the League after playing out a one-all draw against BUL FC on Saturday at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

The Venoms had to come from a goal down and eventually settle for a draw against a resilient BUL FC side.

Pascal Ngobi fired the visitors into the lead in the 4th minute with his strike from outside the area finding the back of the net.

However, the hosts were able to level matters through Allan Okello in the 28th minute who converted from the spot when Gusto Mulongo was brought down in the box.

Vipers SC had a few other opportunities to secure maximum points but BUL FC were resilient enough to hold on and force a draw.

Milton Karisa should have found the winner in the 84th minute but goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa pulled off a fine save to deny the former.

The result means Vipers SC stay second on 25 points, one behind table leaders NEC FC while BUL FC are 10th on 15 points.
