Kitara FC obliterated Express FC on Saturday in Hoima to register their biggest win in top flight football.
The Royals secured a 7-0 win at the Royal Park in Butema with George Ssenkaba (hat trick), Jude Ssemugabi (brace), Fred Amaku and David Ndihabwe all scoring.
Whereas the result shows the progress Kitara FC have made in recent games, the manner in which Express FC lost leaves many unanswered questions. The team was without coach Badru Kaddu who is currently in Njeru for CAF A Diploma Coaching Course.
Even before Express FC kicked the ball on Saturday, there were several concerns prior to making the long trip to Hoima.
According to unconfirmed reports, the team travelled to Hoima on Friday night and reached very early on Saturday.
Additionally, a source that preferred anonymity indicated CEO Ashiraf Miiro talked to the players before leaving Kampala, informing them about a further delay in payment of their salaries.
In today’s game, some of the goals if not all that Express FC conceded were questionable.
The result means Kitara FC move to 9th place on 17 points while Express FC stay 6th on 19 points.
