Mozambique 2-1 Guinea Bissau

Eswatini 0-1 Mali

South Africa picked their first win of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with a 3-2 win over South Sudan in Juba on Tuesday.

Thalente Mbatha, like he did against Uganda Cranes last week scored at the death to give Bafana Bafana a hard-fought win against the Bright Stars.

Oswin Apollis had scored twice to put the visitors in the lead cancelling out an early Tito Okello penalty before Valentino Kuachi Yuel levelled matters in the second half.

With the game destined for a stalemate, Mbatha had other ideas as he netted the winner.

Bafana Bafana is now second in Group K with 4 points, same as Uganda who beat Congo on Monday with the Red Devils 3rd and South Sudan bottom with no points.

In October, there will be back-to-back clashes between Uganda and South Sudan and then South Africa and Congo.

Elsewhere, Rwanda held Nigeria Super Eagles to a goalless draw in Kigali, Mali beat Eswatini away and Mozambique overcame Guinea Bissau 2-1.
