  • SC Villa vs URA – Luzira 4pm
  • NEC vs Mbarara City – Lugogo 7pm

Hussein Mbalangu takes on ex-pay masters Mbarara City at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo with his NEC side aiming to keep pace with leaders Vipers.

The hosts, unbeaten at Lugogo so far in the premier league come into the game second on the table with 27 points, four points adrift of Vipers who won 1-0 at UPDF on Friday.

NEC will be favourites against the Ankole Lions who are winless in the past four league matches and haven’t done so well away from home.

“We want to win and keep our chances of being competitive alive,” said Mbalangu.

The hosts won both fixtures last season and will hope to extend that streak as victory will put just one point behind the Venoms.

Ex-Mbarara City winger Paul Mucureezi will be desperate to maintain good form that he has enjoyed in the recent matches.

Besides Mucureezi, the hosts will look to Cromwell Rwothomio and Enock Ssebagala among others.

Mbarara City, coached by Livingstone Mbabazi will hope forwards Henry Kitegenyi, Arigumaho Seiri and Joseph Akandwanaho are in decent form on the day.
