51st Stanbic Uganda Cup: Bebe Cool to grace round of 64 draw at Serena Hotel

The round of 64 draw for the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup will be held on Monday, 6th January 2024 at Turaco Hall, Kampala Serena Hotel.

Music icon Moses “Bebe Cool” Ssali, fresh from the release of the captivating hit “Circumference” off the “Break the chain” album will grace the draws as a special guest.

Ssali is son to former Uganda Cranes team manager (1978) and head coach (1982) Jaberi Bidandi Ssali.

Christened as “Big Size”, Bebe Cool is the father to stylish Express winger Alpha Thierry Ssali, who also featured for the Uganda U-20 national team (The Hippos).

There are 64 clubs involved in this draw with 16 clubs that feature in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League; including the current holders Kitara Football Club.

15 clubs are in the FUFA Big League (second division tier) and 27 play in the third division.

Three clubs play in the fourth division and two in the fifth division.

There are two non-league clubs; 403 Brigade (North East) and Football Classroom (Kampala) at the stage of 64.

This draw will determine the match ups to decide the clubs that will progress to the round of 32.

The winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup earns the rights to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.

Since 1971, this tournament has remained unique given its unpredictability and thrills as the teams across the different divisions in the country.
