- Vipers vs Maroons – Kitende 7pm
- UPDF vs Express – Bombo 4pm
- Bright Stars vs Lugazi – Kavumba 4pm
Leaders Vipers host stubborn Maroons aware that the last three meetings haven’t produced a winner.
The highly anticipated fixture pits two sides in good form at the moment with the hosts unbeaten in the last 13 matches since losing 3-1 to NEC on opening day.
On the other hand, Maroons turned the tables after a false start and are now on 22 points, in top four and a win will lift them above KCCA in 3rd position.
Ronald Orombi echoed same statements like he did the last time the two teams faced off at Kitende insisting his teammates are not afraid of facing the Venoms but see it as an opportunity to showcase their abilities against the best team in the land.
“They are one of the best teams in the league but that doesn’t scare us,” he told the media. “We go there with confidence and will try to show what we can do,” he added.
“To be the best, you have to beat the best so the aim is to challenge favorably and get maximum points.”
Vipers will be without Derrick Ndahiro who was sent off at Bombo and his place will be taken by Richard Matovu.
The duo of Allan Okello and Milton Karisa will be the key to unlock the Maroons backline but the hosts must keenly watch former academy product Ivan Asaba.
