Pic Roc
Tipped Pic Roc to win on chase debut at Carlisle in November but he fell when not really showing that he was struggling with the fences, so was rather unlucky all things concerned.
Hopefully he can go well again off the same mark and with plenty of time since that effort, will have recovered sufficiently and even improved for it.
Faces just five rivals, all of which are big prices and all lower rated so he’s got all the chances today.
Ilico De Cotte
Upped 2lb for coming third of 12 last time out at Carlisle but that form has been franked with the winner, O’Connell, going on to win again stylishly.
Second placed Fortunate Man has also gone on to win again as has fifth placed Ned Tanner, who struggled that day but reappeared with a return to form.
Ilico De Cotte was a youngster of the field and given he came up against some well experienced horses, should find this much easier on what is just his third appearance over fences.
His recent races are all about 3m which is a testament to his consistency making him very easy to back at 9/4 with little else appealing.
I do like Livin On Luco but his latest appearance over this kind of trip was not one that instils a lot of confidence up against this favourite.
