Goalkeeper James Cleo Ssetuba has his rich detailed tale of a story to boldly tell since childhood.
Born and bred on the Lake Victoria Peninsular town of Entebbe, Ssetubba had steadily and gradually come of age.
Now featuring at Kenya Premier League entity Kakamega Homeboyz Football Club, Ssetuba is surely the talk of town for his outstanding performances between the goal posts this season.
With six clean sheets to his name tag, Ssetuba is currently stationed third with two other goalkeepers on seven.
The big talking point is his destination as the employment at Kakamega Homeboyz winds down next month.
The lingering question is will Ssetuba express due loyalty and pen another extension, or is it the time to move on?
This purely lies within the player’s heart and possibly his management team.
Already a sizeable number of clubs in the KPL and Tanzania as well as from his native country Uganda are interested; given his current blistering form and character.
Four Kenyan clubs AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, Bandari, alongside Azam (Tanzania), Gaddafi and Express in Uganda have allegedly approached the player with intentions of luring him for the treasured signature.
For starters, Ssetuba featured for Solitlo Bright Stars, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club during the Uganda Premier League before he was loaned to Western Uganda based Nyamityobora FC in the second tier (FUFA Big League).
Ssetuba also played at Wakiso Giants during the second division times before he sought for greener pastures in Kenya with Sony Sugar Football Club.
He has also played for different clubs in Tanzania including; Biashara Mara United, Mbeya City and Ihefu (Tanzania).
Enviable shot-stopping and game reading antics aside, Ssetuba is a team player, a leader of the team from the back who has excelled during one-against-one situations, aerial challenges, acute reflexes, quick drop ball deliveries and a standout personality in saving penalty kicks.
