Clark’s presence seeing a spike in ticket sales is no secret.

The Indiana Fever sold out their games both at home and on the road along with breaking TV viewership records as part of a wider rise in WNBA interest over the last year.

The Fever were second to last in WNBA home attendance the year before Clark joined, averaging just 4,067 fans in 2023.

In 2024 this rose to 17,036 with the Fever first in average home attendance, way ahead of the New York Liberty in second with 12,730 fans per game

Last season multiple teams played in different arenas just for their game against Indiana. For example, the Washington Mystics relocated to the Capital One Area which has a capacity of 20,356.

Their regular home stadium, the Entertainment and Sports Arena, is capped at 4,200.

Now for 2025, teams are looking to capitalise further on the demand Clark’s games spark.

The Minnesota Lynx are charging fans $850 dollars for half-season ticket packages but exclude matches against the Fever.

Instead, Indiana games are set as an add-on option but the only way to buy the individual ticket as of right now is to first purchase their half-season ticket package.

The fine-print at the bottom of their graphic reads: “Purchase a half season package today to receive access to add on the Indiana Fever Game!”

Fans online have reacted to this decision from the Lynx with some claiming this proves Clark is the face of the league as the contest against Angel Reese‘s Chicago Sky is included in the package.

“WNBA teams won’t include Fever games in half season ticket packages because they would lose too much money. Numbers don’t lie, Caitlin Clark is the face of the WNBA,” one fan posted online.

“The Target Center is Carver North. The Minnesota Lynx know that. Caitlin Clark sells the arena out every time! Face of the league,” another posted.

Another fan criticised the Lynx’s decision, posting: “I was bummed. I did the Half Season last year for the Lynx. Not doing it this time though. They lost me on this decision.”

The American enjoyed a fine debut season, the 22-year-old picked up the Rookie of the Year award while also becoming the first new arrival since 2008 to be named to the All-WNBA first team.

Clark returns to action on May 17 and opens up the WNBA season against the Sky in a highly-anticipated matchup with Reese.
