The Green Bay Packers’ postseason took a wrong turn on the very first play.
Keisean Nixon fumbled while returning the opening kickoff, the Philadelphia Eagles were ruled to have recovered it and Jalen Hurts found Jahan Dotson three plays later to put his team up 7-0.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love ended up throwing three picks in a 22-10 defeat.
Replays later appeared to show that Nixon recovered his fumble and should have got the ball back for his team.
It is impossible to say whether they would have won the game but the lost possession was a huge momentum builder for the Eagles.
All turnovers are checked by replay officials, but it has since emerged that they did not have access to the crucial angle.
Fans were able to watch the scrum from the SkyCam and Nixon appeared to get his hands back on the ball.
Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady were on the call for Fox and felt the decision was wrong after seeing the overhead view.
Rules analyst Mike Pereira revealed that the replay review team do not have access to the SkyCam footage.
Fans were not happy that the people making the call didn’t have access to the same views as those at home.
“Think it’s stupid that the official NFL review center doesn’t have the same camera angle that millions of people watching on TV do,” said one.
“Only reasonable explanation I’ve seen is that refs can’t use sky cam for reviews and that’s the angle that shows the clear recovery.(Which, if true, is ridiculously stupid),” added another.

A third moaned: “What’s the point of replay?”
“Inexcusable in the postseason,” added another.
“I thought we recovered the ball,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said after the loss. “Just what they showed on the big board.
“What I was hearing from our guys upstairs, I think (assistant quarterbacks coach) Connor Lewis is spot on the majority of the time. They all thought it was our ball, but obviously the league felt differently.”
LeFleur admitted that ultimately it was on his team to overcome adversity.
“You have to be able to overcome things, bad things happen in games. You just gotta be resilient and bounce back,” he added. “We just didn’t do enough to do that.
“You’re not gonna win many games when you’re -4 on the turnover battle.
“(Nick) Sirianni has a heck of a record when they have the turnover battle, so that was one of the points of emphasis, it’s always is every week, a lot of these games come down to that. You can’t be -4 and expect to win a football game.”
SkyCam was a hot topic over the first playoff weekend after triggering a little-known rule during the Washington Commanders‘ win over Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Late in the fourth quarter, a Tampa Bay kickoff was ruled a touchback and the NBC broadcast went to a commercial break.
When the feed resumed, the Bucs were lined up to kick off again to confuse viewers.
It turned out Jack Browning’s effort hit one of the wires holding up the camera, leading to a ‘do-over’ as Cris Collinsworth described it for NBC. Browning kicked the ball for another touchback, meaning SkyCam’s intervention was not significant.
