If you thought the spotlight couldn’t get any bigger on the Dallas Cowboys, you would be wrong.
Buckle up.
Primetime himself, Deion Sanders, may be on his way to help save ‘America’s Team.’
NFL insider, Jordan Schultz, has reported that Sanders has been in discussions with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, about the head coach opening.
He notes that there hasn’t been a formal interview, but that there is mutual interest between the two sides.
Jones announced on Monday that they were parting ways with Mike McCarthy, leaving a giant-sized opening on America’s most valuable team.
There has already been speculation from all over.
Bill Belichick, Jon Gruden, and now Sanders are names that have already been linked to the opening.
Schultz now reports that the Primetime to Dallas movement is more than just a fun story.
It could legit be happening.
Fans are unsure about this news.
‘This is going to be a train wreck,’ one fan posted on X.
‘Makes too much sense. Deion loves the big stage Jerry loves the show,’ another fan chimed in.
‘Jerry sure knows how to keep eyes on the Cowboys,’ another fan added.
If there’s one thing that Jones knows how to do better than anyone else, it’s get people to keep talking about his Cowboys.
Hiring Sanders would just about break the internet.
It would be familiar territory for the Hall of Famer, as he played for Jones and the Cowboys for five seasons from 1995-1999, helping them win Super Bowl XXX against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And if anyone is capable of handling the spotlight that comes with being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, it’s Sanders.
The biggest question the Cowboys would have if they hired Sanders, would be if Jones is capable of sharing the spotlight.
Jones loves being the face of the Dallas Cowboys, for better or for worse, and may have a hard time sharing the limelight with a personality as big as Sanders’.
