Uganda Golf Union lines up enticing events for 2025

The Uganda Golf Union (UGU) has lined up a number of events for the 2025 season.

It is a fully packed calendar with events from January through to December with no clash of events noticed unlike in the previous years.

Regional clubs fundraisers, children championships, the pearl of Africa golf series, Muema challenge, Mugyenzi memorial, Rukundo open, Institute of bankers, Chinese community tournament are some of the key additions.

The prestigious Uganda Open golf series will commence from August through to September 2025 at the newly opened Lugazi Hills Golf and country club.

The signature tournaments per club are also indicated and included in this vast calendar.

This will be the first time that the Uganda Open golf series move outside the central Uganda courses, away from Kampala, Serena and Entebbe.

The Masaka fundraiser on 18th January 2025 at Uganda Golf Club in Kampala leads the way for 52-weeks event packed calendar.

The usual season ender in Kabale; the White Horse Inn Open will once again climax the business for the year on 28th December 2025 at Kabale Sports Club.

The Pearl of Africa Golf series will swing off in February 2025 at Uganda Golf Club, returning in April at Entebbe club, July at the Lugazi Hills Golf and country club.

The Uganda Golf Union is steered by Dr Jackson Were. He is deputized by Anthony Agaba, Samson Agamile as Honorary secretary, Annette Kiconco (treasurer) with Paul Habyarimana and Joseph Okudi as committee members.
