talkSPORT will be the audio broadcast partner for the British & Irish Lions’ highly anticipated tour to Australia this summer.

Across ten games, we will deliver more than 200 hours of exclusive coverage including live commentaries and dedicated programmes and podcasts from down under.

Andy Farrell will lead the Lions into battle – and talkSPORT will be there every step of thr way

It will be talkSPORT’s fourth consecutive Tour as audio broadcast partner of the Lions, 12 years on from the 2013 Tour in Australia – the last time the Lions took on the Wallabies.

As part of the agreement, talkSPORT will provide match commentary alongside pre-match build-up and post-match analysis for every game of the Series, which will be made up of three Test matches and six pre-Test matches.

There will also be coverage of the pre-Tour fixture against Argentina in Dublin – the first ever time the Lions have played in Ireland.

Lions supporters can also engage with talkSPORT interactively throughout the Tour, on social media or by phoning in to join the conversation with our expert team of pundits.

After the Lions face Argentina at Aviva Stadium on Friday, June 20, the First Test of the Qatar Airways Lions Men’s Series will begin on Saturday, July 19 at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host the Second Test on Saturday, July 26.

The Third and final Test will be staged in front of more than 80,000 fans at Sydney’s Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday, August 2.

The Lions will face an invitational Australian and New Zealand team at the Adelaide Oval in preparation for the opening Test, while the Tour will also include pre-Test fixtures in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.

Tom Halsey, Chief Commercial Officer of The British & Irish Lions, said: “We are delighted to be working again with talkSPORT for our fourth Tour together.

“The team were an outstanding broadcast partner to The British & Irish Lions during the 2013, 2017, and 2021 Tours. Now we look forward to further building on this successful partnership.

“Thousands of fans from around the world will be listening at home as the action unfolds and we are delighted to have talkSPORT providing them with the highest quality build-up, commentary, analysis and discussion.”

Head of talkSPORT, Liam Fisher, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing The British & Irish Lions Tour to listeners for another exciting summer of world-class rugby.

“The whole talkSPORT team is incredibly proud of our relationship with the Lions – and it is fitting to be back in Australia, where it all started, for our fourth Tour together.

“The talkSPORT team can’t wait to be on ground down under to bring you all the games, all the commentaries, and all the action on and off the pitch for what promises to be another gripping Series.”
