Brentford ended a run of one win in nine matches last weekend by beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park, in another London derby, ensuring they head into this weekend’s confident of beating a struggling Tottenham side.
Thomas Frank’s side boast one of the best home records in the Premier League this season, but have lost four and drawn one of their last five matches at the Gtech ahead of Sunday’s visit of Tottenham.
Last weekend’s victory in south London kept the Bees in 11th place in the standings but saw them close the gap on the top half of the table to just two points, and will be hopeful of breaking into the top 10 this weekend, with the two teams above them both facing tough away tests over the coming days.

Tottenham make the short trip across the capital having made it two wins from their last three matches in all competitions on Thursday night with a 3-0 win over Swedish side Elfsborg in the Europa League to see them progress to the last 16 of the competition.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have struggled hugely in the Premier League this season though, their shock defeat at home to relegation strugglers Leicester last weekend leaving them 15th in the table having now picked up just one point from their last seven matches.
Pressure is high on the current Spurs manager after just one win in 11 in the league, which has left the north London club closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top half of the table, and with defeats in their last three away league games, they could drop closer to the bottom three this weekend.
However, Brentford have beaten Tottenham only once in any competition since 1948, winning just one of their last 18 meetings, while Spurs are unbeaten away from home against the Bees in 77 years.
