At least Ug.Shs 2 billion is targeted from this marathon whose start and finishing points will be at the Inspire Africa Coffee Park in Kabuhungu hills, Rwashamire town council.
According to Duncan Abigaba, the Corporate Affairs manager at Inspire Africa, the Coffee Marathon will also be graced by the Africa Coffee Festival with a concert that will also have East Africa’s legendary artist, Diamond Platinum, among others.

The Coffee Marathon’s climax will lead to the Africa Coffee Festival in October, a platform endorsed by African Union heads of state. This movement aims to position Uganda as a global leader in coffee production and showcase investment opportunities within the industry. The proceeds are aimed at supporting rural women farmers, the Coffee Marathon blends fitness, purpose, and community spirit.

Entry per person is Ug.Shs 30,000 that comes with a kit and a ticket for the music concert.

For starters, the Coffee Marathon is part of a grander vision; It’s a cornerstone of the Africa Coffee Renaissance Chapter 1, initiated by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in May 2024.
This is a clarion call for stakeholders to celebrate women farmers and secure a brighter future for Uganda’s coffee industry. I drew the inspiration of the marathon starting from the theme right from my mother who told me and I thought my mother represents many women.
Dr. Nelson Tugume, CEO of Inspire Africa Group
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Samuel Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, has already voiced his confidence in the event’s success, calling on everyone to be part of this game-changer.
