Team: Ug.Shs 400,000 per school (pool of 4)
Subsidiary individual: Ug.Shs 60,000 (each)

The golfing vibe is very ripe and the fraternity in Uganda is super excited as Fort Portal tourism city prepares to welcome the country’s rising golf stars who will meet up during the 2025 inter- schools championship at Toro club.

The epic and explosive national Inter-schools open Golf championship returns for its highly anticipated third edition on the red-marked day, 25^th April 2025.

The country promising junior golfers will showcase their unique golfing talent and skills.

Organized in partnership with AFRIYEA Golf Academy, the tournament has become a key platform for developing grassroots golf and nurturing future champions.

With schools from Mbarara, Masindi, Kampala, and Fort Portal already confirmed, the event is expected to be more competitive than ever.

Last year’s champions—Banyatereza Golden Memory, and Tooro Parents Education Centre—will be looking to defend their titles.

Perhaps, it will never be a mere walk in the pack, as they will face strong competition from an expanding pool of talented upcoming young golfers.

A rich platform for the Next Generation

The championship, open to both primary and secondary school students, plays a crucial role in introducing young players to competitive golf, helping them develop their skills, and making the sport more accessible across Uganda.

This event is about giving young golfers a platform to grow, learn, and compete. We have seen incredible talent emerge from previous editions, and this year will be no different. Uganda’s future golf stars could be made right here.

Expanding the sport’s reach

With golf still underrepresented in many Ugandan schools, the championship is a vital part of efforts to grow the game at the grassroots level.

Beyond competition, the tournament provides players with access to mentorship opportunities, structured coaching, and a pathway to higher-level competitions.

As the tournament continues to gain momentum, organizers hope it will not only identify future champions but also help popularize golf among young Ugandans, ensuring the sport’s growth for years to come.
