The Inter Miami and Argentina delivered a vibrant reminder to sports fans about the upcoming MLS season.
In the ad, he dribbles an American football as effortlessly as a soccer ball, culminating in a powerful kick that sends the football through the goalposts.
The kick is followed by the phrase: “When football ends, fútbol begins.”
Messi, alongside Apple TV, Major League Soccer, Inter Miami, and Royal Caribbean, eagerly launched the new campaign as the NFL season came to a close.
The MLS season is poised to kick off with Messi and Inter Miami stepping onto the field for their first game on February 22 against New York City FC.
Messi was present at last night’s Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, where he watched the Philadelphia Eagles triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs.
He shared the moment with his fellow Inter Miami teammates Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, along with their children.
His eldest son, Thiago, proudly wore a Jalen Hurts Eagles jersey, while his two younger boys sported Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs jerseys.
In the video, Messi could also be seen sporting Miami’s newest jersey, a two-toned pink home kit nicknamed Euforia.
The shirt is reminiscent of Argentina’s World Cup-winning jerseys, which will no doubt be a hit with the Messi faithful worldwide.
Celebrating Inter Miami’s rise within Major League Soccer and the international arena, this jersey will be graced on the pitch during the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
This summer, Messi and Inter Miami will face off in the FIFA Club World Cup, among other tournaments lined up for the 2025 MLS season.
Inter Miami is also set to unveil a new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, in 2026.
The unveiling of Inter Miami’s new jersey was a special moment when club co-owners Jorge and Jose Mas presented one autographed by Messi to Argentine president Javier Milei during a recent trip to the country.
