Saquon Barkley not only lifted the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night, but he also secured a massive bonus in Super Bowl LIX.

The Philadelphia Eagles running back capped a stunning season, in which he was named the NFL‘s Offensive Player of the Year, by helping his team to a 40-22 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

Victory in the Super Bowl netted Barkley a $250,000 incentive bonus, which matched the total he received after Philadelphia’s win over the Washington Commanders in the NFC title game.

By hitting all of his contract incentives, which also included $250,000 for being named first-team All-Pro and eclipsing 2,000 rushing and receiving yards, Barkley took home $1.5 million in bonuses thanks to Philly’s postseason run alone.

All in all, the 2024 season turned into a very lucrative one for the NFL’s best running back, with his total earnings reaching $15m.

Per Front Office Sports, Barkley’s unique contract structure also enables him to have whatever he picks up via incentives this year added to his 2025 base salary as an escalator.

When he arrived in Philadelphia, he signed a three-year deal worth $37m, with $26m guaranteed.

Barkley’s base salary for the 2024 season was $1.375m and will now start at $2.875m for the following two seasons.

Should he somehow replicate his 2024 success next year, and secure a second Super Bowl, his base contract for 2026 would start at $4.375m.

Most of Barkley’s salary this year came from an $11.6m signing bonus, before his incentives boosted it to $15m.

While his salary pales in comparison to that of some NFL quarterbacks, he will make up the difference off the field as one of the most marketable players in the league.

A win in the Super Bowl, while also breaking Terrell Davis’ single-season record of 2,476 rushing yards (including the playoffs) set in 1998, will help boost his profile.

In fact, the running back has already been seen sporting a brand new custom chain that features his jersey number.

Barkley, who celebrated his 28th birthday on Super Bowl Sunday, has been wearing No. 26 since his rookie season with the New York Giants.

He will now be wearing it off the field, too.

Benny the Jeweler, who provides custom jewelery and designer watches to celebrities worldwide, shared footage of Barkley receiving the chain in New Orleans.

“One of one chain and 26 pendant made for Saquon, let’s go,” he captioned the Instagram post, adding in another that it is more than 200 carats.

The jeweler also shared a video of Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson responding to Barkley’s new chain, where they estimated the price to be around $100,000.
