Thursday horse racing tips
- HUNTINGDON
2.45: Gustoso 7/2 (1pt)
4.15: Teddy Blue 3/1 (1pt) - LINGFIELD
2.05: Rula Bula 1/1 (2pts) - PUNCHESTOWN
1.25: Rath Gaul Boy 11/4 (1pt)
Gustoso
Stays this distance, winning two starts ago readily and will be difficult to beat if back on that form.
He’s won at this course before too back in April winning well off 8lb lower but can be difficult to predict.
However, he’s only had two races over 3m+ and this will hopefully be another solid run.
Teddy Blue
Made an encouraging enough start over fences to suggest he’ll be an improver at least here, on his second chase start.
Next Left has drifted in the odds quite a bit now that he’s tough to back and that could be due to the fact he’s dropping back in trip to 2m.
Rath Gaul Boy
Rath Gaul Boy was keeping on at this course last time out, in April 2024, when hampered by a faller at the last.
Daddy Long Legs won that race quite comfortably and was always in command, so being hampered only really cost him a few places but definitely not 1st or even 2nd.
That said, he’s stepping into chasing now at a decent price for the top yard and despite Waterford Whisper’s chase form, this debutant over fences has been nicely backed suggesting for a decent debut.
Rula Bula
First at Market Rasen in November when clear odds-on favourite and then justified her potential when a close second to Listentoyourheart.
That was in listed company and she was not fancied to win at 10/1 so a drop back in class in mares company is sure to produce a win especially back on this ground.
