Daniel Dubois puts his IBF world heavyweight title on the line against Joseph Parker on a packed night of Riyadh Season action.

Dynamite won the title with a destructive victory over British rival Anthony Johsua last year and Triple D has looked an increasingly dangerous and confident fighter.

Parker is bidding to become a two-time world heavyweight champion and the New Zealander arrives in Saudi Arabia following two impressive victories over Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder.

Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker tips

  • Daniel Dubois to win by stoppage @ 8/11
  • Daniel Dubios to win in rounds 1-6 @ 4/1

Dubois value for another destructive success

Daniel Dubois has endured an up-and-down career, but Dynamite looks to be firmly on the rise and the confidence of the Greenwich fighter has to be close to its peak.

Triple D destroyed Anthony Joshua in a coming-of-age performance last year and the 27-year-old appears to have silenced any remaining doubts.

Dubois was stopped by Joe Joyce in 2020 and the questions over Dynamite’s durability and toughness first came to light. However, it’s worth remembering that the Londoner suffered a fractured eye socket in that contest against the Putney puncher and it was a major step up for Dubois after only 15 professional fights.

The 27-year-old was also stopped by Oleksandr Usyk in 2023, but that defeat to an elite-level fighter came in controversial circumstances, given Dubois looked to have floored the former undisputed heavyweight king with a legal body shot which was ruled to be a low blow.

Whatever the merits of the punch that downed Usyk, we know that Dubois is a dangerous, destructive and heavy-hitting fighter, who went toe-to-toe with Joshua last time out and crushed AJ.

Joseph Parker is enjoying the best run of his career, but it’s not hard to pick holes in the form of recent wins over Zhang and Wilder.

Zhang was a 40-year-old when tackling the New Zealander and Big Bang had Parker on the canvas twice in that bout. The Kiwi was able to turn things around, but a younger fighter would have had more in the tank to finish Parker when he was hurt and that’s likely to be the case against Dubois.

Wilder went on to be destroyed by Zhang following his loss to Parker and it’s clear the Bronze Bomber is nowhere near the fighter of old.

Parker is durable, tough and well-drilled by coach Andy Lee, but the 33-year-old is a veteran of 38 heavy-hitting bouts and he is likely to have to give way to the younger, fresher and more powerful Dubois.

Dynamite looks a bet to win the bout by stoppage and, at 4/1, Triple D can also be fancied to win in rounds 1-6.
