The 2025 WRC Safari Kenya Rally entry list features a total of 39 crews after the release of the crews anticipated to take on the world toughest rally.

The Safari will be the third round of this year’s world rally championship. It is scheduled for 20-23 March in Naivasha and Nairobi, Kenya.

Yasin Nasser and Timothy Gawaya are the only crews that will represent Uganda at this year’s competition.

Yasin Nasser in a Ford Fiesta Rally2 car will be making his third appearance.

The crew will be out to attempt to write a new brief on their participation after being beleaguered by the disappointments in their previous appearance; where a mechanical problem ended his contention in 2021 and a hard roll took away all hope of a respectable finish in 2024.

Nasser and Ali Katumba will be in search of Africa rally championship points as Safari rally will double as round one of the continent’s championship events.

Timothy Gawaya makes his first feature in the WRC Safari Kenya rally. Gawaya takes his famous Seat Ibiza to compete under the national category.

Among other categories are the priority crews that make up the top tier competition in rally1 cars. These include current WRC leader Elfyn Evans, Safari rally winner and two-times WRC champion Kalle Rovanpera, reigning WRC champion Thierry Neuville among others.

WRC 2 class will yet again feature local crews going against foreign crews. Carl Tundo, Karan Patel, Samman Singh Vohra are among the Kenyan crews in the category.
