Brooks Koepka has reignited his feud with Rory McIlroy after ranking himself as a superior golfer.

But the 34-year-old conceded Tiger Woods is in a class of his own as he took part in the quiet challenge.

Golf Digest shared a video on X of the LIV Golf star having to remain silent until he hears a player better than him.

High-profile golfers such as Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymar, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm all failed to break Koepka’s silence.

That included world number two Xander Schauffele, who scooped the PGA Championship and The Open in 2024.

McIlroy – a four-time Major winner – was then next up to test Koepka.

But the American, who has won one more Major than the Northern Irishman, remained tight-lipped.

Koepka is no stranger in firing subtle digs towards McIlroy, as shown by his social media post over the 35-year-old’s U-turn over LIV Golf in January 2024.

And five months later, Koepka suggested there is a double standard between himself and McIlroy over how they are portrayed in the media.

Their rivalry came into focus in 2019 after Koepka declared he doesn’t see McIlroy as a threat having gone five years [and counting] without a Major triumph.

Following McIlroy in the quiet challenge were Koepka’s former Ryder Cup teammates Bryson DeChambeau and Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler, the world number one, claimed his second Green Jacket at the Masters last year, while he also won the Olympics gold medal at the Paris Games.

His name saw a wry smile on Koepka’s face, but he failed to remain composed once Woods entered the game.

While the Florida native boasts plenty of self-belief, even he had to accept defeat to the 15-time Major champ.

Upon hearing Woods‘ name, he said: “I was going to hold out, but yeah Tiger I can’t.

“I can’t even joke about that one. Tiger’s kind of got that one.”

Woods, widely regarded as the greatest golfer in history, has won 82 PGA Tour events – a record only matched by Sam Snead.

The 49-year-old also holds the record for consecutive weeks [264] and greatest total number of weeks [683] spent as the World No.1.

Koepka himself knows all about being the world number one having held the position for 47 successive weeks from October 2018.

He is currently ranked in 19th spot in LIV Golf, with his last tournament victory coming at LIV Golf Greenbrier last August.
