Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers is making a name for himself this season – and his displays are earning him glowing praise.
And one of the biggest compliments has come from a former Villan.

Villa have had a decent start to the season but with Ollie Watkins a little off the pace after his summer exertions, Rogers has been a key figure.
Against Arsenal, despite his team losing 2-0 in the end, the England Under-21 international came away from the match with plenty of plaudits.
His dribbling excited many as he tormented the Gunners’ midfield.
And ex-Aston Villa star Tony Cascarino is excited for what the future holds, comparing him with one of the biggest young talents in world football.
“I really like Morgan Rogers coming in,” he told the Weekend Sports Breakfast.
“He scored a couple in the Under-21s against Austria. I think he’s going to be a player.
“He really looks, there’s something about, he reminds me a little bit of Jamal Musiala.
“He’s that guy that picks up the ball and he’ll just make runs and he’ll create problems for others. He’s got a lot about him.
“Comparing him to Musiala, well that type of player, that’s a really big praise because Musiala’s a real talent. But I do see something in Morgan Rogers where he’s got that ability.
“He gets in his stride and he’s going quick but he doesn’t look particularly quick and yet people don’t get to him. He just seems to ride the tackles and not get phased.”

Musiala, 21, was one of the stars of Euro 2024, despite Germany being knocked out in the quarter-finals by eventual winners Spain, and claimed the Golden Boot in a six-way tie.
He did spend some of his youth in England with brief spells at Southampton and Chelsea before a switch to Bayern Munich.
There he’s won four league titles, although, last year the German giants missed out to Bayer Leverkusen.
Rogers is, perhaps surprisingly, older than Musiala.
He’s 22 years old and is coming to the fore in the Premier League at Villa Park after spells at West Brom, Man City, and Middlesbrough.
While at City he also spent time on loan with Lincoln City, Bournemouth, and Blackpool.
Now, though, he’s realising his potential and with Champions League football available to him he’ll get the chance to challenge himself to reach an even higher level.
