Prisons Grounds, Luzira 3pm
Ronald Orombi doesn’t believe there is much difference between the players that left Maroons and those that came in insisting the team is still good.
The new Maroons captain said this in an interview ahead of his side’s home clash with UPDF at Prisons Grounds, Luzira on Sunday.
Maroons lost skipper David Ndihabwe, striker Fred Amaku, centre backs Patrick Bayiga and Jacob Okao as well as play maker Abraham Tusubira.
“In Uganda, we are all the same players and the different is always character and attitude,” he stated. “We equally have a good squad assembled that will give their best starting with the game against UPDF on Sunday,” he added.
The Prison warders have added a blend of youth and experience with the signing of ex-Villa attackers Ambrose Kiirya and Bashir Mutanda as well as youngsters Ivan Mayanja, Ibrahim Dada and Apollo Kagogwe among others.
UPDF who survived relegation on the last day of the season have also beefed up with the acquisition of Samuel Ssekamatte, Samson Kigozi and also elevating coach Paul Kiwanuka to the head coach role.
