The day speaks for itself and attracted hundreds of people connected to the club’s players, administrators, and coaches. The celebrants, who painted the grounds in the club colours of red and blue complimented by white and black, used the moment to celebrate achievements from the last 12 months.

Before the end of last year’s edition, KHC’s men’s side announced they would participate at the Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) in Malawi. They made the 5,000km to and fro Blantyre by road and returned home in November with a bronze medal from the continental showpiece.
To follow suit, their women’s side KHC Swans announced they are in the thick of preparing for this year’s ACCC edition that will be held in January 2025 in Port Said, Egypt. They qualified for Egypt following last year’s success, where they won the women’s National Hockey League, Uganda Cup, Easter Open, and Pearl of Africa’s Women’s Tournament.

This year started with Swans defending the Easter Open and winning the Memorial Shield, played by winners of the Uganda Cup and League.
Back to the events of the day, the players took their friends and family through hockey events and also competed with them in athletics races, fun games like three-legged races, dancing chair, dancing, tug-of-war and entertainment from hockey player-cum-musician Carlson Lubega.
