Arne Slot was accused of telling Michael Oliver he would ‘f***ing blame’ him if Liverpool failed to win the Premier League title.

The Liverpool manager was sent off following an altercation with referee Michael Oliver on the pitch at Goodison Park.

It came after James Tarkowski had scored a stoppage time equaliser to rescue a 2-2 draw for Everton.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones were then both dismissed after the former taunted the travelling Liverpool supporters.

He was later handed a two-game suspension and £70,000 fine.

Meanwhile, the FA’s written reasons have revealed exactly what Slot said to Oliver to earn his red card.

They explain that Slot had been alleged to have used ‘abusive words’ whilst shaking the referee’s hand and that he had been ‘confrontational and aggressive’.

His comments included telling Oliver that he had “f***ing give them everything” and the Dutchman hoped he “was proud of that performance”.

Slot went on to approach the official for a second time, shaking his hand and saying: “If we don’t win the league, I’ll f***ing blame you.”

He is further alleged to have then directed his frustration to the assistant referee, twice shouting that it was ‘a f***ing disgrace’.

His antics earned the Reds boss a red card, although he claims he used different words during the incident.

The written reasons explain that Slot insists he said: “If we don’t win the league, I will have you to thank for that.”

However, the FA maintained that his comments were as reported by the officials and that the claim made no difference to the sanction as they still equated to acting in an improper manner.

Slot did not dispute that he said ‘f***ing disgrace’ to the assistant referee.

The 46-year-old served the first match of his suspension last Wednesday as his side beat Newcastle at Anfield.

He will complete the two-match ban at home to Southampton on Saturday, with assistant manager Johnny Heitinga taking his place in the dugout once again.

Despite the FA suspension, Slot will be on the touchline against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tomorrow night.
