talkSPORT betting tips – Best darts bets and expert advice for Premier League Night 6

The Premier League heads to Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena for Night Six and Luke Littler arrives at the peak of his powers.

The Nuke has won all of his last 14 matches and that has seen the 18-year-old pick up trophy after trophy.

Littler has already secured the UK Open and Belgium Open titles this month and the Warrington arrowsmith was a Premier League winner in Brighton last week.

The world champion appears to be at the peak of his powers and it will be down to Luke Humphries to try and end the dominance of The Nuke in the Nottingham quarter-finals.

Michael van Gerwen to win Night Six @ 11/2 each-way

There is no doubt the in-form Littler is going to be a tough man to stop in Nottingham, but a quarter-final tie against Humphries is as difficult as it could have been and perhaps The Nuke may be a little too short to take Night Six honours.

The 18-year-old has travelled to Minehead, Brighton, Belgium and now Nottingham in the first 13 days of this month and that is a demanding schedule.

Michael van Gerwen hasn’t been able to show his best form on a consistent basis in this season’s Premier League, but MVG can still reach a high-level peak and the Dutchman could offer some each-way value from the bottom-half of the draw.

Mighty Mike will avoid the Lukes until the final and the Green Machine has reached four semi-finals in this season’s Premier League. A quarter-final tie with Nathan Aspinall looks a good opportunity for MVG to book another last-four spot and that would leave the Green Machine just one win away from place returns.

Van Gerwen may no longer be the dominant force in darts, but the Dutchman can still compete with the best when on-song and Mighty Mike can be backed for Night Six honours.

Gerwyn Price -1.5 legs v Stephen Bunting @ Evs

There’s often a clamber to get into the Premier League, with the riches the competition brings, but being beaten up week after week can’t do much for confidence.

Stephen Bunting was in flying form prior to the start of this season’s competition, but The Bullet has yet to win a match in the current campaign and the performance level of the Merseyside man has deteriorated rapidly.

Five Premier League quarter-final defeats have been compounded by failing to win a match in the UK Open and averaging only 87.68 when losing to Ross Smith in last weekend’s Belgium Open.

Gerwyn Price is nudging his way back to his peak and the Iceman should make light work of Bunting in Nottingham.

Rob Cross to beat Chris Dobey @ 8/11

Rob Cross averaged 111.19 and 106.91 in his two Premier League matches in Brighton last week and, while Voltage was beaten early on in the Belgian Open last week, the Kent arrowsmith put up numbers of 98.80 in defeat to Ross Smith.

Chris Dobey hasn’t won a single game in the last four weeks of league competition and confidence doesn’t appear to be flowing through Hollywood at this point in time.

At 8/11 Cross looks the best bet of the four quarter-finals.
