Carragher was absent from the studio on Tuesday as he was attending the Reds’ Champions League last-16 second leg defeat against Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield.

But he was back in for the final round of the last-16 clashes to dissect the big matches which includes Arsenal against PSV and Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, as well as Aston Villa vs Club Brugge.

Earlier in the show, Scott had mocked Carragher for a viral image of him in the stands at Anfield looking glum after his beloved side crashed out on penalties.

But he soon departed the studio and was not present for their half-time analysis of the current matches in-play.

There has been speculation online that the 47-year-old has fallen ill.

But at the time of writing, there has been no statement on his health from CBS Sports, nor from Carragher on any of his social media platforms.
