The 2025 Grand National now dominates the racing talk after a huge Cheltenham Festival.
This is widely considered the biggest jumps race in the world, watched by millions globally as 34 runners take on the 4m2f contest in a bid for huge prize money but it is no easy feat.

The Grand National is live on talkSPORT taking place on Saturday, April 5th with an off time of 4pm.
This is a feature of all racing for a reason as this race is contested on the grandest scale with stamina, jumping and true grit and determination all tested from these incredible animals.
Corach Rambler cruised to success in 2023 and then last year it was time for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend to further stamp their authority on jump racing winning with 7/1 joint favourite I Am Maximus.
That marked the third favourite to win the Grand National in its last five runnings.
Tiger Roll was the third as he claimed two Grand National titles in succession.

Grand National 2025 tips
- Vanillier 16/1
I tipped Vanillier last year at around 9/1 but he could only finish 14th of 32.
That’s not to dissuade you from backing him this year though.
He went on from that Grand National run with a couple of poor performance but has really bounced back in 2025 and drops further in the weights to give him even more of a chance.
To drop 3lb from his latest run at Cheltenham Festival in the Cross Country is very encouraging.
He ran on from way back to claim third and was a big eyecatcher as the grey stormed on to grab a place, especially having almost gone completely the wrong way part way round the Cross Country which probably cost him a go at challenging for the win.
This horse is one that always finds more at the end and has the kind of attitude that is impossible to train sometimes and that is a desire to run on at the end and win.
He’s my only early entry stage tip for now but there are numerous more horses that are intriguing right now.
Most of that is due to the Cheltenham Festival last week opening up the betting.
Inothewayurthinkin just won the Gold Cup in fine style ahead of Galopin Des Champs on Friday.
He has been smashed into clear favourite for the Grand National but it is an incredibly tough feat as it is, let alone winning the Gold Cup in the space of a month.
3/1 is too short for me for a Grand National bet as there’s always the hope there’s some more value to be had.
Stumptown beat both Latenightpass and Vanillier in the Cross Country at Cheltenham Festival last week, who were both tipped for last year’s Grand National.
So he has to be taken seriously given the way he ran on and took every fence with a certain amount of ease.
Mr Vango also appeals for his frontrunning efforts and win on Saturday’s Welsh Grand National an incredible achievement off top-weight so also has to be considered this year.
