Oleksandr Usyk intends to stay in the limelight after boxing.

The Ukrainian slickster recently revealed to talkSPORT.com that he will fight twice more before calling time on an illustrious career that has seen the 38-year-old become undisputed in two separate weight classes (cruiserweight and heavyweight).

When he eventually hangs up his gloves, Usyk is aiming for an ambitious move into acting.

“I don’t think I will be the next Arnold Schwarzenegger, I’m not as solid,” he told Al Arabiya.

“But I practice acting, I would like to be in a movie.

“I see myself in a dramatic role. I think I would be able to act well.”

Usyk got a taste for the field, starring alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Emily Blunt in the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster ‘The Smashing Machine’.

The Benny Safdie film is set to be released at some point this year and tells the story of former MMA legend Mark Kerr.

It is a remarkable tale that saw Kerr become UFC champion all the while battling serious addiction and marital issues.

The film’s name comes from Kerr’s nickname ‘The Smashing Machine’ – a reference to his ferocious fighting style.

Usyk plays Ukrainian MMA icon Igor Vovchanchyn in the production, who fought Kerr twice during an epic rivalry.

It is undoubtedly Usyk’s biggest role, but it isn’t his maiden appearance on the silver screen.

Usyk previously voiced Sholom in the animated Ukrainian children’s flick ‘The Stolen Princess’.

Meanwhile, he also played a minor role as a professional boxer in ‘The Fight Rules’.

Before Usyk can release his dream of becoming a Hollywood star, the future first-ballot Hall of Famer will have to get through either Daniel Dubois or Joseph Parker next.

Usyk is hoping to face Dubois in an undisputed clash this year while the WBO have mandated him to face ‘interim’ champion Parker.

WBO president Gustavo Olivieri recently informed talkSPORT.com that they will consider an exception for Usyk vs Dubois to come first, although no petition has been lodged at the time of writing.

He said: ” If an exception is lodged with the Championship Committee requesting that the unification be allowed to supersede the enforcement of the mandatory, the committee per its discretion, may allow it to do so.

“We shall wait and see what happens. At present, no request of such nature has been petitioned.”
