Ryan Garcia is earning ‘around $20million’ for his upcoming clash with Rolly Romero.
‘King Ry’ returns to the ring on May 2 against former WBA super lightweight champion Romero on a Ring Magazine card at Times Square, New York.

It will mark his first fight back after serving his one-year suspension with the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC).
Garcia was banned from boxing after testing positive for the selective estrogen receptor modulator (SARM) clomifene in two separate drug tests taken around his April 2024 clash with Devin Haney.
The 26-year-old dropped Haney three times en route to being declared the victor via majority decision.
However, the result was overturned to a no-contest.
Haney will fight former unified super lightweight title holder Jose Ramirez on the same bill.
If both men win their respective contests, they will rematch in Saudi Arabia at the end of the year in what is sure to be an incredibly lucrative fight judging from what Garcia is earning to face Romero.
During a recent appearance on Ak and Barak’s YouTube channel, Garcia was quizzed on how much he is making for his next outing.
“Teofimo was on with us and said something about a $30m (£23.1m), three-fight deal,” said Akin ‘AK’ Morales.
“That’s what he’s looking at. So, in this fight [Romero], is this fight going to be the most money you ever made or close to it? What is the money looking at?”
Garcia wouldn’t reveal the exact amount but agreed to play a game of higher or lower.

He indicated that he will bank more than $15m (£11.5m) before replying ‘around there’ for the $20m (£15.4m) bracket.
The wage is much higher than most would expect for what is essentially a tune-up fight.
To put it in perspective talkSPORT’s Gareth A. Davies recently revealed that Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will split £18m between them.
Eubank Jr will reportedly pocket £10m as the A-side of the deal.
And Benn will take home £8m for the middleweight non-title fight.
If Garcia’s maths are correct then he will be earning almost as much money as both sides of the biggest British boxing bout of the year.
