Rachael Blackmore will be on a mission to continue rewriting the history books when she rides in the Grand National this weekend.
The 35-year-old cemented her legacy as a horse racing icon in 2021 after becoming the only female jockey to win the famous race.

The Irish superstar triumphed aboard JP McManus-owned horse Minella Times as an 11/1 shot.
The winning combo failed to repeat their feat the following year, and the Henry de Bromhead-trained steed has since retired.
In 2023, Blackmore rode Ain’t That A Shame, who finished seventeenth, before bouncing back aboard Minella Indo to place third last year.
As one of the most recognisable names in the sport, there’s always a keen interest from casual punters in backing ‘the Blackmore factor‘.
What horse is Rachael Blackmore riding in the Grand National 2025?
At the time of writing, Blackmore has yet to make her decision on which horse she will be riding this weekend.
The Irish jockey is likely to ride last year’s Grand National entrant Minella Indo again or Senior Chief for trainer De Bromhead.
The pair have teamed up to win the Grand National and Gold Cup in the last few years and flourished at Cheltenham together.
Blackmore won the Stayers’ Hurdle aboard 8-1 shot Bob Olinger to complete a Festival double earlier this month.
She had previously claimed her first victory of this year’s meeting for De Bromhead with her superb ride on 16-1 chance Air Of Entitlement.
