Gauff cited her desire to “take greater ownership” of her tennis career as she grows “as an athlete, entrepreneur, and “changemaker,” as the reason behind the decision to start her own agency.

The 2023 US Open champion posted on social media that her new venture will be called Coco Gauff Enterprises.

“This is just the beginning of an exciting new era for me, and there is much more to come, which I’ll be excited to share in due time,” Gauff wrote.

“From the moment I first picked up a tennis racket, I’ve always believed my purpose extended far beyond the court.

“As always, tennis will continue to be my main priority!”

She also added that she wants to make “an impact — not just in tennis, but in business, philanthropy, and beyond.”

Gauff’s mother, Candi Gauff, hailed her daughter’s next step in the comment section of her post.

“May God continue to order your steps and protect you! Amen,” she wrote.

Her new business means she will no longer be represented by Team8, a management firm owned by Federer that the Swiss founded in 2013.

Gauff had been represented by Team8 since she was 13, joining the agency back in 2017.

The 21-year-old has won $23 million in prize money and collected millions more from endorsement deals.

Her total on and off-court earnings of $30.4 million in 2024 alone put her at No. 1 among female athletes, according to Sportico.

Guaff’s new enterprise involves starting a relationship with WME.

This is an agency that has represented other sports stars, including 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams

Guaff has been on the tennis scene since 2019, when she made headlines as the youngest qualifier in tournament history.

She then beat Venus Williams in the first round of the main draw and made it all the way to the fourth round in her Grand Slam debut.

Now, in 2025, she is one of the biggest tennis stars in the world.

The American is ranked No.3 in the world and won her maiden Grand Slam at the US Open in 2023, at the age of 19.

Her last big success came in Riyadh in November 2024, when she won the WTA Finals.
