Jeamie TKV has launched an official appeal against the referee’s involvement in his defeat to David Adeleye.
TKV took on Adeleye in a British heavyweight title fight in Manchester at the weekend, and looked to have his nose ahead on the judges scorecards.

But in the sixth round, huge controversy erupted as after the referee Ron Kearney appeared to tell TKV to ‘break’ and halt the action, he was floored by a huge left hook from Adeleye.
Adeleye subsequently floored TKV again, who was stunned by the events that unfolded, and despite rising to his feet Kearney waved off the contest.
TKV couldn’t believe what had happened, and his coach Ben Davison pleaded wildly with the referee to resume the fight after his blunder.
The entire boxing fraternity was up in arms and it was revealed that the British Boxing Board of Control would hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss a potential no contest.
It was today revealed while TKV stepped in the studio on talkSPORT’s White & Jordan that his promoter BOXXER had lodged an official appeal against the outcome.
And TKV opened up on his version of events in a candid discussion.
He explained: “Me and Adeleye hit each other on the back, but I got told if I did that again, a point would be taken off.
“I knew it was a big title fight so I made sure I was listening to the referee and made no mistakes.
“In the sixth round, Adeleye had my left arm in the clinch but the referee then told me to break.
“But when he says break, we should both step up and no-one should be throwing a shot.

“I was trying to obey the referee, so as he tapped my arm I stepped back.
“I showed him I’m not holding, but then I didn’t see left hook and hit me. I was confused, I was doing what I was told.
“He then came with a barrage of punches nothing landed flush, but he then pushed me and I went down.
“My team told me, wait and take an eight count then get up, but the referee just stopped it.”
There was clearly fury but TKV refused to hold any grudge against Adeleye at the final bell.
Even Adeleye’s promoter Frank Warren insisted that the referee had made a mistake.

The talkSPORT experts on air including Spencer Oliver and Adam Catterall couldn’t believe what they were witnessing.
Now it will be an anxious wait for TKV to discover what the BBBofC will declare in their meeting tomorrow.
The appeal will likely strengthen his case, and the British title hopeful has pleaded that the right decision is made.
He continued: “I was winning the fight on points, everything was going to plan.
“The referee got it wrong and I just trust that the board will do the right thing.
“I feel like the referee just wasn’t up to the job in hand and he got it wrong on the night.
“I don’t think that mistake will be made again [in a rematch]. I will put it right, one hundred per cent.”
