Cameron Menzies has revealed he will be pursuing a full-time darts career after landing his second Players Championship title.
The Scot beat fellow countryman Peter Wright 8-3 in the final of Players Championship 11 in Leicester.

This was the latest in a string of impressive displays from Menzies in recent months, who clinched his maiden PDC ranking title in October at Players Championship 29.
Since then, he has reached two more finals at the event this year, as well as the semi-finals of Players Championship 9 last week.
And the 35-year-old’s fine form of late has convinced him that now is finally the time for him to chase more glory as a full-time darts star.
Menzies currently juggles PDC Tour commitments with his day job as a plumber, and admitted his future plans had left him reconsidering his appearance at the event’s next instalment.
Speaking to the PDC after his victory over Wright, he revealed: “I might pull out tomorrow [Players Championship 12].
“The reason is that I’m quitting my job soon. I’m taking up darts full-time.
“It is genuinely crazy, my darts career is kicking off, it’s my dream.”
On his way to sealing the title at the Mattioli Arena, Menzies began the day with wins over Viktor Tingstrom, Connor Scutt and Steve Lennon, before seeing off Max Hopp in the last 16.
He then saw off Matthew Dennant in the last eight, before beating Niels Zonneveld to reach the final.
His final display was yet another sparkling performance, producing a 107 average to beat Wright, and Menzies couldn’t hide his delight afterwards.

Taking to X afterwards, he jokingly wrote: “Fat boy fluked another.”
In his post-match interview, Menzies also reflected on the recent form which has led him to pursue his full-time dream.
He continued: “That’s two finals, two wins and a couple of semis.
“I don’t know what to say because I thought the first one was lucky to win. To win two, I’m buzzing. It wasn’t luck, if that makes sense.”
But the landmark victory came close to not happening at all, with a motorway accident putting his journey to the venue on hold.
The Scottish star admitted: “I thought I was going to be late.

“I had to phone the PDC because you have a time limit. I had to say I might be 10 or 20 minutes late. There was a bad crash on the M1.
“I really hope they are okay because clearly it was bad. It happened on the southbound, but they shut the northbound as well. It was an air ambulance and stuff. I was stuck there for two hours.”
This was ultimately unable to get in the way of a career-defining moment, which held added personal meaning for Menzies.
Paying tribute to his beaten final opponent, the number 37-ranked PDC star shared: “Peter played darts with my dad.
“Even before I was in the PDC at the Grand Slam, he took me aside and practised finishes with me. He played counties with my dad. Honestly Peter has been brilliant with me over the past couple of years. The respect I’ve got for him.
“I’m lucky to have Scottish guys like Gary and Peter helping me.
“Plus guys not on the tour like Hendo [John Henderson] and Robert Thornton. They are all supportive.”
