Bet of the Day – Falkirk to beat Ayr – 19/20

Falkirk are marching towards a return to the Scottish Premiership and the Bairns can take a major step along the road by defeating Ayr United at Somerset Park on Friday night.

Scott Brown’s side have lost three of their last five games, with the only win coming against relegation-battling Dunfermline.

Falkirk, meanwhile, have lost just one of the last 10, winning five of their last six, and that setback was against Livingston at Almondvale, where the hosts have been nigh-on faultless this season.

Prior to that defat, John McGlynn’s side had won four of the previous five on the road and they can grab all three points here.

Special of the Day – Burnley to win & Under 3.5 Goals – 17/5

Burnley were held to a scoreless draw at Derby in midweek, enough to allow Leeds retake top spot in the Championship on goal difference, but the Clarets have still lost just two of 41 league games.

Norwich, meanwhile, have lost 14, with just one win in the last seven ensuring the Canaries are all but out of the play-off race following a scoreless home draw with Sunderland.

Burnley have only conceded five Championship goals in 20 games at Turf Moor, a remarkable statistic for Scott Parker’s side. Just two of those 20 games have featured over 3.5 goals and, with Norwich struggling, the Clarets should do enough to win a low-scoring encounter.

After three blanks in a row here to start 2025, Burnley have found the net in six straight games, conceding just once.

Long Shot of the Day – Udinese to lead at half-time vs AC Milan – 16/5

The sole Serie A offering looks tough to call, but it might be worth siding with Udinese to lead at the break when AC Milan visit.

Udine haven’t conceded before half-time in any of their last eight games at Stadio Friuli.

Milan, meanwhile, have lost six of their last eight away games, most recently a 2-1 defeat at Napoli.

Further, Sergio Conceicao’s side have now leaked at least two goals in each of their last four games and they have also let in two or more goals in their last two visits to Udinese and have been behind at half-time in two of the previous three trips here.

With no wins in the last four in Serie A and three straight losses, backing a Udinese win requires a leap of faith, but they could have the lead at the interval.
