Tyson Fury has returned to the gym and looks sharp on the heavy bag, with fans believing he will face Anthony Joshua.

The ‘Gypsy King’ announced his surprise retirement from the sport earlier this year after a second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury returned to training amid links to a comeback clash with Joshua

It saw him turn his back on a huge two-fight deal to face British rival Joshua, whom had called him out and was ready to touch gloves.

Fury has retired in the past and made a swift comeback, which has left the boxing fraternity doubtful over the authenticity of this latest decision.

And the former world champion has posted training footage in his own personal gym for the first time since his retirement.

He worked the heavy punch bag, looking sharp as always with some explosive and quick shots.

And it has sparked a new surge in boxing fans who believe he will take the plunge back into action.

One reacted: “Here we go the comeback is on. AJ watch out!”

Another wrote: “He’s definitely making a come back eh!”

A fan even incredibly added: “Boxing’s not the same without you Tyson.

“You’re the Muhammad Ali of our generation, please fight again.”

Fury is understood to be happy in retirement and well-placed figures in his camp has yet to entertain talks.

The 36-year-old is spending time with his family, and has even been personal training wife Paris.

A showdown could still happen in 2025 with Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh hugely interested in making the bout happen.

Joshua is currently out of action and has yet to pencil in his next date, but has too recently began his return to training.

Fury first will act as a manager in charity football match Soccer Aid, a prior commitment which could provide an obstacle.

But both sides would likely easily be brought to the table if Fury indicates he wants to return.

His manager Spencer Brown also recently sparked comeback rumours, by suggesting the champion was getting slightly bored.

He said: “I spoke to him last week, he’s really happy. Really happy.

“He’s getting a little bit bored but he was really happy. I think he went to a nice birthday party over the weekend and had a few beers.

“Just speaking to him gives you a bit of light in your life because he makes you smile and he doesn’t anything too seriously.

“Is he going to fight again? He’s retired. He might be getting a little bit bored at the moment but that’s just a natural thing.

“He’s just enjoying himself, he’s running everyday. He’s really looking good.

“He’s tanned, he’s fit. He looks good. I was quite surprised when I saw him.”
