Mohamed Salah now his eyes set on becoming Liverpool’s all-time record goalscorer after penning a new two-year deal.
The Egyptian international ended months of speculation over his future by penning a contract that keeps him at Anfield until 2027.

He now has the potential to break numerous records, including becoming the all-time top Premier League scorer.
Salah is currently fifth on the list, but given he seems to be improving with age, there is no limit to what he can achieve.
It’s possible that Ian Rush‘s record could also be in danger.
With that in mind, talkSPORT decided to run through every current Premier League club’s leading and current top scorer.
Unfortunately, after their relegation was confirmed, Southampton won’t be in this.

Arsenal – Thierry Henry – 228 – October 2005
The Frenchman scored 226 goals in his first spell in north London between 1999-2007 before he left for Barcelona.
Henry returned to the Emirates for a short loan spell from MLS outfit New York Red Bulls in 2012 where he scored twice.
He scored on his second debut with a winner against Leeds in the FA Cup, before volleying home a dramatic goal at the death against Sunderland in his farewell match.
The Gunners‘ current top scorer is Bukayo Saka with 68.
The England international is well on the way to 100 goals and assists, and if he had been fit this year, who knows where they could have been.

Aston Villa – Billy Walker – 244 – November 1932
The 18-cap England international spent his whole career at Villa Park where he scored 244 goals in 531 matches.
He helped the Midlands outfit win the FA Cup in 1920 where he found the back of the five times from his six outings in what was his first season with the club.
Star striker Ollie Watkins is the club’s current top goalscorer.
The England international has 84 goals for the Villans, and he fast closing in on Gabby Agbonlahor‘s Premier League record for Villa.

Bournemouth – Ron Eyre – 229 – December 1925
Eyre has held the Cherries’ record for almost a century after scoring for fun between 1924-1933.
Their highest active scorer is currently a tie between Justin Kluivert and David Brooks.
The duo both have 22 goals for Bournemouth.

Brentford – Jim Towers – 163 – October 1959
After coming through the Bees ranks, Towers scored 163 times from 1954-1961, before joining QPR.
Voted as Brentford‘s greatest ever player, Towers was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame in 2015.
There was a lot of concern when Ivan Toney left, but the Bees have filled the void comfortably, and in Bryan Mbeumo they have a special player.
The forward has scored 66 times while representing Brentford.

Brighton – Tommy Cook – 123 – December 1924
Cook, who also enjoyed a lengthy career as a cricketer for Surrey, was capped once for England in 1925.
Along with scoring 123 goals for the Seagulls from 1921-1929, he amassed over 20,000 runs for Surrey from 460 matches, while he also served in both world wars.
In the current squad, veteran striker Danny Welbeck is the man who leads the way with 35 goals.
Lewis Dunk is his closest competitor on 31 goals.

Chelsea – Frank Lampard – 211 – May 2013
The recently axed-Everton boss was a prolific goal-scoring midfielder for the Blues during his 13-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
From 2003/04-2012/13, Lampard finished the season with double figures – earning him a place in the PFA Team of the Year on three occasions.
The man who is chasing him is Cole Palmer.
Since signing from Manchester City, the England international has been Chelsea‘s best player by miles and has 39 goals so far.

Crystal Palace – Peter Simpson – 165 – January 1931
The Eagles icon averaged almost a goal a game during his six-year stay at Selhurst Park from 1929-1935.
Simpson fired in a whopping 46 goals in the 1930/31 season in what remains a club record.
Unsurprisingly, Jean-Philippe Mateta is the man leading the way in the current squad.
The Frenchman has 45 goals for the Eagles, with the majority coming since Oliver Glasner joined.

Everton – Dixie Dean – 383 – April 1928
The highest record holder out of all the Premier League clubs, the ex-Three Lions star scored 383 times in 433 matches.
He won two league titles with the Toffees along with two Charity Shields and the FA Cup in 1933 where he scored in the 3-0 final victory over City.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin still has some way to go in catching Dean having scored 71 goals from 269 matches for the Merseyside outfit.

Fulham – Gordon Davies – 178 – February 1989
The 67-year-old enjoyed two spells at Craven Cottage – first from 1978-1984 before he moved to Chelsea and then to Manchester City.
Davies returned to Fulham in 1986 where he remained for a further five years, with the Cottagers granting him a testimonial at the end of his second spell.
Tom Cairney is the current leading goalscorer in the squad, having scored 46 times over his long career at Craven Cottage.

Ipswich – Ray Crawford – 218 – August 1958
Crawford enjoyed two spells at Ipswich, taking up a total of eight years in his career.
The striker joined from Portsmouth and was an instant hit, going on to score 218 goals in 354 games.
There are many players in this Ipswich side who have been with the club for a while, and it is Conor Chaplin who leads the way.
The forward has scored 55 times for the Tractor Boys.

Leicester – Arthur Chandler – 273 – January 1926
Incredibly, none of Chandler’s 273 goals from his 419 matches come from the penalty spot.
Chandler is followed very closely by Arthur Rowley, with Jamie Vardy right behind on 198.
The veteran striker is just two shy of becoming only the third player in Foxes’ history to score 200 times for the club.

Liverpool – Ian Rush – 346 – October 1992
One of the best goal scorers in top-flight history, Rush enjoyed two spells at Anfield either side of a solitary season in Italy at Juventus.
He won five league titles with the Reds, along with three FA Cups, five League Cups and two European Cups.
His time in Merseyside came to an end in 1996, with the Welshman retiring in 2000 at the age of 38.
As mentioned, Salah is the one who is by far and away Liverpool‘s current top goalscorer.
The forward has managed to find the back of the net 243 times, meaning he needs just over a 100 more goals to break Rush’s record.

Manchester City – Sergio Aguero – 260 – November 2017
One of the Premier League’s most clinical strikers, the Argentine star spent a decade at the Etihad after joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
The 2021 Copa America champion was voted into the Premier League Hall of Fame in 2022.
It will be no surprise to hear that Erling Haaland is the top scorer in the Man City squad.
The ridiculous striker has scored 120 times for the Citizens in just 138 games, meaning he’ll be catching Aguero very soon.

Manchester United – Wayne Rooney – 253 – January 2017
The DC United boss surpassed Sir Bobby Charlton’s 44-year record six years ago when he whipped in a glorious free-kick away at Stoke.
Rooney returned to Everton at the end of the 2016/17 season after 559 games for the Red Devils where he won 16 major honours.
In the current Man United team, with Marcus Rashford on loan, Bruno Fernandes is the main man.
The Portuguese superstar is fast closing in on a century of goals for Man United with 95 despite the rest of the team struggling badly.

Newcastle United – Alan Shearer – 206 – March 2006
The boyhood Magpies fan joined the Toon from Blackburn in a then-British record £15m in 1996.
Despite failing to claim any silverware at St James’ Park, he banged in 206 goals from 405 matches.
His stunning form at both Blackburn and Newcastle has seen him top the all-time Premier League scoring charts with 260 goals.
And while that record is under threat from Salah, his Newcastle feat is unlikely to be matched anytime soon with Alexander Isak the closest.
The superstar striker has bagged 59 times for the Magpies since joining from Real Sociedad and helped the club end their long trophy drought with victory in the Carabao Cup.

Isak is a quarter of the way to matching Shearer[/caption]
Nottingham Forest – Grenville Morris – 217 – January 1903
Morris’ 120-year record has stood for longer than any other Premier League side after he scored 217 times between 1898-1913.
He played in 459 games for the Reds, while he also found the back of the net nine times in 21 outings for Wales’ national team,.
But leading the way from the current crop is Chris Wood.
The New Zealander has scored 34 times since joining from Newcastle for just £15 million.

Tottenham – Harry Kane – 280 – February 2023
Academy graduate Kane broke Greaves’ long-standing record to write his place in history.
Kane established himself as a regular in the starting XI in the 2014/15 season after loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester.
He has now departed the club and has joined Bayern Munich, leaving his old teammate as the club’s top scorer.
Heung-min Son will go down as a Spurs legend, and he has scored 173 times for the club.

West Ham – Vic Watson – 326 – August 1925
The legendary Hammers centre-forward banged in 326 goals from 505 matches during his 15-year stay from 1920-1935.
He helped his side reach the FA Cup final in 1923 where Bolton emerged victorious after winning 2-0.
His closest challenger from Graham Potter‘s side is Michail Antonio who has 83 goals since arriving from Forest in 2015.
Antonio is the club’s all-time top Premier League scorer with 68 strikes.
Of course, he suffered a horrific injury in a car crash and will be out for some time, but it’ll be a great day when he returns.

Antomio has vowed to return from his leg break[/caption]
Wolves – Steve Bull – 306 – March 1992
The 56-year-old spent 13 years at Molineux from 1986-1999 where he banged in 306 goals from 561 appearances.
He spearheaded the Midlands outfit to the fourth division title in 1988, while also claiming the Football League Trophy the same season.
Bull was then instrumental in Wolves claiming the third division championship the following year where he scored 102 goals across the two seasons.
Brazilian Matheus Cunha is the club’s current top scorer.
He has 31 goals in just over 80 games, which is a more than respectable record.
