Kitara vs NEC – 4pm
UPDF vs Lugazi – 4pm
Vipers vs Express – 7pm
Vipers lock horns with Express at the St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende on Thursday in a fixture Nikola Kavazovic’s side must win to ease pressure on the Serbian.
After missing out on the Fufa Super 8, the six-time champions started the season on a worst note losing 3-1 to NEC at Lugogo which now means they must win against Express FC.
It remains to be seen whether the tactician will have his best choice of centre backs Hilary Mukundane and Rogers Torach are available after they missed the NEC defeat through injury although both were named on the bench.
The Serb must also organize his midfield which looked porous and is more likely to recall either Siraje Sentamu or Frank Katongole to galvanize the centre of the pack.
In Express, they face a very formidable opponent who beat Mbale Heroes 2-1 at Nakivubo on Monday.
The Red Eagles have experience in Emmanuel Wasswa, Said Kyeyune and Daniel Shabena in midfield with Sam Ssenyonjo leading the attack after he scored a brace on opening day.
Mustafa Kizza is doubtful after getting subbed midway the second half after he appeared to have cramped.
Richard Basangwa joined the Red Eagles as well and could face his former pay masters.
Elsewhere on Thursday, Kitara visit NEC in top of the table clash while Lugazi make a trip to Bombo to face UPDF.
