For most, Easter means eating an incredible amount of chocolate.

But for fans of the Championship, it also means a jam-packed schedule of football.

Every team in the second tier will play twice during the Easter period, with 12 games on Good Friday and another 12 on Easter Monday.

There are plenty of storylines emerging ahead of the busy schedule too, both at the top and bottom of the table.

Leeds and Burnley are in pole position for promotion to the Premier League, while there are multiple sides eyeing a play-off spot.

Meanwhile, six teams are separated by six points in the relegation battle, with things wide open heading into the climax.

Two of the remaining four matchdays of the season will occur over Easter, meaning so much can change over this long weekend…

Leeds are sitting at the top of the Championship, and they could well have secured promotion by Monday evening.

Daniel Farke‘s side are five points clear and will face Oxford and Stoke in their fixtures over Easter.

Wins in both of those games would put them on the brink and could even get the job done, depending on Sheffield United‘s results.

The Blades will hope to beat relegation-threatened Cardiff despite poor recent form, setting up a blockbuster against Burnley.

On Easter Monday, Sheffield United face Scott Parker‘s men and that game could well determine the automatic promotion slots.

In the play-off race, Bristol City, Frank Lampard‘s Coventry, West Brom, Middlesbrough and Millwall are in a battle.

Those teams are separated by four points heading into the Easter schedule and only two places are available.

Coventry face West Brom on Good Friday in a huge clash, while Plymouth could shake things up, playing Middlesbrough and the Sky Blues across the long weekend.

And Plymouth are fighting for their lives at the bottom themselves, sitting three points from safety along with Luton.

Cardiff, Derby, Hull, Portsmouth, Stoke and Oxford all remain threatened by the drop in what is going to be a thrilling finish.

Derby face Luton, live on talkSPORT 2, on Friday before Cardiff take on Oxford on Monday, so things could really be shaken up.
