Amazon Prime Day is an annual fixture in the shopping calendar, where shoppers can bag a deal on discounted products from Amazon’s huge range.

The online retailer has followed a pattern in recent years of having three big sales, one in spring, one in summer and one in autumn.

This pattern appears to be holding so far this year, as Amazon held its Spring Deal Days 2025 sale in March of this year.

Amazon hasn’t announced the dates of Prime Day 2025, but as shopping writers who follow the sales closely, we’ve gathered together all the info we have on when we think it will be and the types of deals you can expect.

When will the next Amazon Prime Day be?

Based on the dates of Prime Day in the last couple of years, we think the most likely date for this year’s Amazon Prime Day will be 15th and 16th July 2025.

In 2023 and 2024, Amazon held sales on a Tuesday and Wednesday in mid-July.

But with no official announcement yet made, we assume the retailer will follow the same pattern this year.

Do you need to be an Amazon Prime member to participate in the sale?

In previous Prime Day sales, you needed to have an Amazon Prime subscription to shop the deals on offer.

Shoppers who don’t have an Amazon account can sign up for a free 30-day trial, which provides access to the sale.

After the 30 days, users are charged £8.99 a month to access all of the Prime member perks, which include same-day or one-day delivery, access to Amazon Video and Amazon Music, Prime Reading and more.

What deals can we expect in the Prime Day sale?

Amazon hasn’t released information on which products will be discounted, but deals tend to be across a broad range of brands and categories that Amazon sell.

For instance, in the previous sale this spring, there were offers in the fitness category on home fitness equipment and fitness tech, with an incredible discount on the Garmin Fenix 7 smart watch.

There were also offers on everything from alcohol, TVs and pressure washers from the popular brand Karcher.
