Manchester United take a 2-2 draw back to Old Trafford on Thursday night after conceding a 95th minute equaliser in Lyon last week to cancel out their having come from behind to lead the tie with an 88th minute goal by Joshua Zirkzee.

Ruben Amorim’s side head into their home second leg as odds on favourites for victory, although the Red Devils are winless in their last four matches, while their French opponents have lost just one of their last nine in all competitions.

The winner of Thursday night’s tie will take on either Athletic Bilbao or Rangers in the semi final, being at home in the second leg, with that tie also level after the first fixture.

Tottenham also were held to a stalemate in the first leg of their Europa League clash last week after Pedro Porro’s equaliser cancelled out Eintracht Frankfurt’s early opener, leaving the score locked at 1-1 ahead of Thursday’s crunch second leg.

Ange Postecoglou’s side travel to Frankfurt as underdogs for what is probably the biggest game of the north London side’s campaign, with Spurs down in 15th in the Premier League table, desperate for their first trophy in 17 years and in need of a place in Europe next season.

Eintracht Frankfurt are flying high in third place in the Bundesliga with a very strong home record, while the Premier League side have lost five of their last six matches on the road, including each of their last four.

The winner of Thursday’s tie will take on either Lazio or Bodo/Glimt in the semi finals, the latter holding a 2-0 lead from last week’s first leg in Norway.
