Step aside Jalen Hurts — there’s a new ‘squat machine’ in town.

NFL Draft prospect Will Campbell, already regarded as one of the top offensive linemen on the board this year, is ready to take the league by storm.

He finished his LSU college career with consensus All-American and Jacobs Blocking Trophy honors in 2024, and is projected to be a top 10 pick.

Campbell could also be coming for Hurts’ squat crown.

Footage of the linebacker squatting 616lbs has gone viral ahead of next week’s draft.

The video, which was initially shared by LSU in July 2024, shows Campbell winking at the camera with the weight on his shoulders.

His impressive effort has left fans very excited about his NFL future, with one already describing Campbell as ‘unstoppable’.

“What an absolute beast. Top ten first rounder incoming,” one person wrote.

“No. 1 OT off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft,” another said.

“Looks like he had another rep in him too,” a third wrote.

Campbell’s 616lb squat will no doubt put Hurts on notice.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback is a freakishly strong ex-powerlifter who has been described as a ‘squat machine’ by former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Jason Kelce.

At a meet during his junior year in high school, Hurts squatted 570lbs while also bench-pressing 275lbs and dead-lifting 585lbs.

In college, he shocked fans and teammates alike by squatting 600lbs in the Sooners weight room.

During an appearance on Monday Night Football’s Manningcast with Peyton and Eli Manning in 2022, the QB revealed he still lifts heavy to this day, and all that work in the weight room certainly paid off last season.

Hurts, one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, led the Eagles to Super Bowl glory alongside Saquon Barkley — who boasts monstrous legs and the nickname ‘Quadzilla’ himself.

It won’t just be NFL stars taking notice of Campbell’s squats either.

His efforts in the LSU weightroom match those of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

The WWE icon turned Hollywood megastar has been known to max out around 500lbs, and recently revealed he finishes his leg day workout with 225lbs ‘lighter’ squats.

“I like to put my squats at the end of the workout because I don’t like to go too heavy with squats. I’ve got 225 on the bar now,” he told his 394 million followers in February.

“No need to put all that weight on my back, those days are over. Maybe 10 reps (of 225lbs) – my legs are on fire, don’t judge.”

While The Rock’s days of squatting big might be over, young prospect Campbell will be spending many more years in the gym.

The 21-year-old has been linked with the Chicago Bears (pick 10) and Las Vegas Raiders (pick 6) ahead of the draft, while many are suggesting he could be the fourth overall pick for the New England Patriots.
