Joe Rogan could make a swift exit from the UFC if Dana White ever retires from the promotion.

Rogan is an iconic voice of the UFC, having commentated from cageside on the promotion’s events since UFC 12 in 1997.

Since then he has commentated on the biggest of nights including Conor McGregor’s famous battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.

His relationship with UFC president White has been seamless with the pair growing a strong bond in the business.

The kingpin even threatened to resign in 2020 when his job was feared after controversial comments he made that year.

And Rogan has admitted he would likely quit at the same time if White ever decides to move on.

“If Dana White quits, I might quit. It’s actually in my contract,” he said.

“If he leaves, I leave. In my contract if he leaves I don’t have to stay.

“I wouldn’t be doing it if it wasn’t for him. He’s my friend. He talked me into doing it.

“I started working for the UFC in 1997 when it was nothing, nobody was watching then.”

White has kept Rogan as a right-hand man throughout the growth of the MMA promotion.

And he previously insisted that the podcaster and MMA expert was rewarded for his loyalty.

He added: “Anybody who is with me, has been with me, knows, when you’re with me, you’re with me.

“It’s a two-way street. It’s not a one-way street. I’m not one of these guys that is going to roll over.

“I can’t say what’s gonna happen when I leave, but when I’m here, the people who are with me and have been with me they know exactly what’s up, and Joe knows what’s up.

“It’s a two-way street. Joe Rogan has been very loyal to me, and I am very loyal to Joe Rogan.”

White is unlikely to leave the UFC anytime soon, given his passion to make the biggest fights and grow the brand further.

The UFC has reached unprecedented heights under White’s leadership, with the company now being valued at an approximate $12.4 billion.

He has become a pivotal promotional figure in combat sports, paving the way to monopolise MMA.

And he will now next launch into the world of boxing with his new TKO fight league, which he has announced with Saudi chief Turki Alalshikh.

It is expected that the league will launch with a huge event headlined by Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford in September.
