Are Oasis playing at Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois? Liam Gallagher perform with hopes of Noel Gallagher joining

Liam and Noel Gallagher could perform together for the first time in years as anticipation for Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois ramps up.

Oasis frontman Liam has long been confirmed to headline Wembley’s pre-fight entertainment before the mega news that the Brit band will reunite made global news in September.

Brothers Liam and Noel are getting the band back together and could be seen publicly together in SeptemberTwitter

The previously warring brothers put their differences aside to announce a tour in 2025, while Liam was booked by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh to play a mini-gig at the IBF heavyweight title clash on Saturday in front of 96,000 fans at Wembley.

talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan jokingly invited Noel to the fight in June in the hope of helping to settle the family feud.

Little did he know that the Gallagher brothers had already been behind the scenes finalising plans for an Oasis reunion.

The duo, who haven’t performed together since their 2009 split, broke the internet by releasing tickets for a tour last month.

But while fans are expecting to wait for months to see Oasis on stage again, organisers for Joshua vs Dubois have other ideas.

Will Oasis reunite at Wembley?

Officially, Oasis will not reunite at Joshua vs Dubois – although Alalshikh is still hopeful of working his magic for this weekend.

Asked earlier this month if Noel will be alongside Liam, the Saudi boxing chief told talkSPORT: “I hope so!

“It will be something amazing if we get them together.

Quizzed on whether he’d already asked Noel, he said: “We will try. Why not?”

Liam’s inclusion on the bill was revealed before Oasis confirmed their return, but the band will have seven shows at Wembley next year.

What has been said?

talkSPORT co-host Jordan revealed he had contacted Noel to ask if he would attend the event, and hasn’t since ruled out him appearing.

“I spoke to Noel yesterday all about [the Oasis reunion],” Jordan said on talkSPORT Boxing in late August.

“It’s funny because I asked him – basically he came to the fight between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez [in February] – and I had asked him about September 21.

“His reason for not going was because he didn’t think it was a good look, if he was in the crowd, Liam was singing and he was wearing earmuffs!

“But now they’ve all made friends and a big bag of money around the world for them [it could change].

“He loves going [to the big fights], all this hullabaloo for Oasis reforming, they didn’t make the same noise for Blur.”

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has played down talk of the Gallaghers performing together, however, ahead of fight night.

“No, I doubt it,” Hearn told Betfred.

“I think Oasis have their own plans for their reunion, but if there was anybody that could deliver it, I would say it’s Turki Alalshikh.

“I’m sure those conversations would have been had, but my guess is that Oasis will be starting their reunion at the beginning of their tour.”
