Conor McGregor has attempted to mend his relationship with Dana White.

The legendary Irish fighter and UFC boss have made each other millions for the past decade – but they have been struggling to see eye-to-eye lately.

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

‘Notorious’ is fully fit and wants to return this year. However, White has shelved him until 2025 and given his comeback opponent, Michael Chandler, a fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 on November 16 instead.

On Friday, McGregor claimed to be ‘out of the loop’ regarding his UFC return and called on Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh to help him solve his issue with MMA’s premier promotion.

The 36-year-old showed his anger with White by completely snubbing his UFC 306 event, which cost over £15million and is regarded by some as the ‘best sports event ever’.

On Wednesday evening, McGregor shared an Instagram post that suggested his relationship with White was on the mend.

The former dual-weight UFC champion put his support behind White’s upcoming boxing show, which will be headlined by Irish prospect Callum Walsh.

McGregor wrote along footage of him boxing sparring: “Dana White my man good luck with ‘King’ Callum Walsh this Saturday in Dublin, Ireland!

“It’s always awesome to have Dana back in Ireland! Callum is a good puncher and a slick boxer, and this is a good test he has this weekend!

“I got some good rounds in with a young American Irish lad recently, No.8 ranked in the USA at Light Heavyweight, Sean O’Bradaigh, he caught me some nice shots and I caught him this tasty back hand hook as well!

“Enjoy! Yup the Irish! Yup the Americans! BIG BOXING CARD THIS WEEKEND IN DUBLIN IRELAND CALLUM WALSH DANA WHITE BOXING GET TO THE POINT DEPOT AND SUPPORT AND ENJOY! Good luck Callum Walsh.”

It’s currently unclear if McGregor will be at the event in his hometown.

White previously insisted he would be sending out an invite to ‘Mystic Mac’.

“I’m glad you asked me that,” he said when asked about McGregor ahead of UFC 306.

“We’ve got to reach out and invite Conor to that fight.

“Yes, I will invite Conor McGregor. We’ll see if he wants to come or not.”
