Chris Eubank Jr has fans seriously worried after posting footage as he tried to make weight to face Conor Benn.

Eubank Jr was struggling this week to make the 160lbs limit to face Benn in their huge showdown tomorrow night.

Eubank Jr used a sauna suit to try and make weight

Unfortunately the Briton missed the weight limit, first weighing in at 160.2lbs before boiling down to 160.05lbs, and it saw him receive a £500,000 fine.

In the past, fans have been concerned with the middleweight’s condition on fight day, including for his defeat to Liam Smith in January 2023.

And now the boxing fraternity are equally uneasy after Eubank Jr posted footage of himself trying to boil down his weight.

It came with the caption: “Pain is temporary… Glory is forever.”

He first stood with his body dripping in sweat, and his clothes attached to him before stripping down.

Eubank Jr then flexed to the camera showing off his extremely skinny and lean looking physique.

The drained Briton then did the exact same thing while stepping out of a sauna and sweat suit, flexing for the camera again.

But fans were not convinced, with one writing: “You look ill mate, this isn’t good.”

Another wrote: “No way this fight should be happening when you look at this and what length Eubank is going to to make the weight.”

A fan agreed: “Ridiculous, should be two men fighting at their physical peaks, the amount this drains out them is dangerous.”

Eubank Jr attracted concerns from fans as he looked extremely lean

One fan even pleaded: “Just call the fight off. This is a heavy cut and it’s dangerous.”

A final user concluded: “Can see why his Dad doesn’t want anything to do with it.

“Stupidity and it’s dangerous. Benn is fighting a skeleton not the real version of Chris.”

Benn himself also responded, writing on social media: “Christopher who are you trying to fool and get sympathy from, I’m coming UP to your weight.

“A weight you’ve made your last 3 fights and most of your career! It’s like you’re looking for excuses already?

“First time you’ve ever missed weight and first time you’ve ever posted a weight cut.

Weight has been a regular concern for the fighters, with the pair desperate to meet each other in the ring.

Benn is naturally a 147lbs fighter and is stepping up 13lbs to make the weight at 160lbs.

The pair were meant to originally meet in 2022 at 157lbs, a real struggle for Eubank Jr but the fight was eventually cancelled.

Eubank Jr now will have to make 160lbs for the next weights until tomorrow morning, when he will be allowed to rehydrate.

He will be kept at a smaller weight by a 10lbs rehydration clause, and is permitted to hit a maximum limit of 170lbs.

It is unclear how this will affect fight night, but Eubank Jr remains favourite to end their feud in victory.
