Burnley have agonisingly missed out on the Championship title to end a memorable season with disappointment on the final day.
Scott Parker’s side were level with Leeds United on 97 points at the start of Saturday’s action before beating Millwall 3-1 at home.

However, Leeds also won as they came from a goal down to beat the relegated Plymouth Argyle on their travels.
Willy Gnonto fired them level and a dramatic stoppage-time winner from Manor Solomon clinched the silverware for the Whites.
Leeds have finished the 2024/25 Championship season on 100 points, and so have Burnley ahead of their Premier League returns.
But the Clarets will despair in the fact that reaching a century was still not enough for them to win the title due to an inferior goal difference.
In fact, they have become the first ever team in England’s top four tiers to amass 100 points and not win the title.
