The greatest football coach of all-time has been in the news lately for peculiar reasons.
None of which relates to football or his job as the head football coach at the University of North Carolina.

These days, the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach is now asked more about his personal relationship with his girlfriend Jordon Hudson than he is about Xs and Os.
Belichick appeared on Good Morning America Friday morning to promote his new book, his coaching methods, and even opened up a bit on his relationship with the 24-year-old.
The interview was done by none other than Michael Strahan.
An old rival of the coach, who helped end the New England Patriots quest for perfection in Super Bowl XLII with the New York Giants.
Strahan and Belichick have developed a close relationship over the years built on mutual respect and it was clear the head coach was comfortable talking with the Hall of Famer.
“It was a great opportunity to get some thoughts on paper and put it together,” Belichick said about the book.
“It’s not about how to live your life, it’s kind of how I did my job. If there’s a lesson in it for somebody, great. Hopefully, there’s some entertaining stories.”
Of course most of the country tuned in, not for the book, but what the 73-year-old would have to say about his girlfriend.
Belichick danced around it a bit, but gave credit to Hudson in helping him throughout the entire process.
“She’s been terrific through the whole process. She’s been very helpful to me,” Belichick said.

Strahan conducted the interview in a professional manner, but still brought his personal touch and charisma to it[/caption]
“She does the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina that come up in my life, so I can concentrate on football, and that’s really what I want to do.
“I acknowledged her in the book. She was very helpful in that, with the tribute pages and also giving a perspective of the book from a business side.
“Sometimes I get a little football technical and she did a good job of keeping me on balance there.”
When Strahan tried to pry a little more, Belichick wasn’t taking the bait.
“Well, we have a good personal relationship. I’m not talking about personal relationships, Michael, you know that,” he said.
Strahan backed off after that.
Belichick and Hudson’s relationship has been in the news recently, coming off of an extremely awkward interview on CBS Sunday Morning.
During the interview, Hudson was a “constant presence,” according to CBS and interrupted the interview several times, trying to control the narrative.
It was a bizarre situation.
For so long everyone has known Belichick as the one guy who didn’t do distractions. He eliminated them.
Yet here he is, seemingly entangled in a new distraction every week, while they all lead back to the same person.
Miss Hudson.
