Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres could soon win the European Golden Boot after adding to his incredible tally.
The Swedish striker scored his side’s second in a 2-0 win against Vitoria S.C. on Saturday evening to fire Sporting to back-to-back Primeira Liga titles.

Gyokeres has now reached the 53-goal mark this season in all competitions, with 39 of those being scored in the Portuguese top-flight.
And his latest finish, which followed a skilful run inside the opposition box, has extended his European Golden Boot goal lead.
Real Madrid marskman Kylian Mbappe and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah share second spot in the standings on 28 goals each with two league games left for them to play.
But it seems to be an almost impossible task for the pair to win the prestigious award.
Barring incredible performances from Mbappe or Salah, Gyokeres could be the first winner outside of Europe’s top five leagues in 23 years.
Mario Jardel was the last player to achieve this feat when he netted 42 goals in the 2001/02 season, coincidentally for Sporting.
The scoring system awards 1.5 points for goals scored outside the top five leagues, leaving Gyokeres on 58.5.
Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 goals are worth two pints, so Mbappe and Salah each have 56 points.
Gyokeres has one last chance to score even more goals this season as his side face Benfica in the Taca de Portugal final on May 25.
It could also be the 26-year-old’s final appearance in Sporting colours as the striker may be set to complete a move to the Premier League.

talkSPORT understands that English top flight clubs believe Arsenal will win the race for Gyokeres this summer.
The former Coventry City star is a priority target for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta and is open to joining the north London side.
Arsenal have held long-term interest in Gyokeres, with Manchester United also keen on the Swede.
However, despite previously working with United head coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting, he would prefer a move to Arsenal.
talkSPORT reported in March that Sporting are willing to sell their star man for around £58.5million.
This is about £25m below his release clause at the Portuguese giants.

Gyokeres was previously in the Premier League with Brighton.
But he did not make an appearance and was a three-time unused substitute.
